I have deleted all my posts/comments on #Reddit ahead of deleting my entire account tomorrow. If you are leaving as well, don't just leave your comments and posts in limbo! That allows reddit to profit off your content through ads. #redditmigration #redditblackout

@gme its actually a scam, don't click the link. Also, someone reported it and #Reddit says they'll allow it, thats the bigger story... I hate giving that dogshit site traffic, but this needs to be seen.

Never got my download from #reddit, so I ran #PowerDeleteSuite to shred and delete everything on my account.

Will be deleting my account Jun 30.

@RL_Dane please keep in mind. MANY that did the same thing, had their comments and posts restored by #Reddit, days after the fact. Keep checking to make sure they are not profiting off of your #Content. #redditmigration

@RL_Dane ah okay. I don't want anyone to be able to search Google for relevant info that would be contained in my comments, giving reddit traffic and ad money.

For those in the #fediverse familiar with the #redditmigration and #lemmy, is there any point in spinning up my own instance? For example, for #Mastodon, the benefit of hosting my own, is my own domain name and being able to federate with other servers that the big ones have blocked. Though, from my understanding, hosting my own Lemmy would be like making my own subreddit? Or am I misunderstanding how it works? #Reddit

@admitsWrongIfProven @freemo ah, okay, well then maybe those instances aren't worth federating with in the first place. Although, it's a 2 person instance and registrations aren't closed, just need to be approved.
