There is also nothing stopping you from creating your own distribution that has whatever features you want. Linux provides it’s users with infite choices while on Windows a lot of those choices are made for you. Because linux is developed by users it often lags behind in some features, I predict we will see more AI integrated distributions pop up. There is a general distrust of Microsoft with this rollout, how many Microsoft programs do you close out of only to find it still running in the background? I haven’t tried recal or windows 11 yet but I’d be concerned with my job (announced the switch to 11 starting next month) suddenly using it as a way to start monitoring employees because now the feature is “built in”.
Yes. If I forgot someone’s name after meeting them it would be like me saying “you’re not important enough to me to remember your name.” It’s especially insulting when you think about how many people you meet once and do remember their name.
People are pissed off brother! /s It is a concerning trend, but I think social media and the need for inflammatory news headlines have driven a lot of these ideas into the open. I think racism, xenophobia, and blind nationalism has always been everywhere and we have given a way for some of the more racist/crazy/extreme people to speak out. It just shows us how much we still have to grow as a society.
I think this is the biggest problem I see in people trying to understand deeper fields of study, a concept is just too large or out of our perceived reality to even make sense without years of knowledge. Israel is viewed as a force of western democracy in the middle east. If Israel went away other democracies would lose a local nation wiling to help them fight terror organizations in the region. From a day to day perspective as someone who lives on the other side of the world and is not Jewish it doesn’t affect me much. I think supporters of Israel have really failed to clearly covey the reasons they have for supporting their actions, while those opposed have a significantly easier time. The idea that “the government knows best so just go with it” is old and does not resonate with young voters or minorities.
Jesus Fucking Christ what are you fucking stupid? Read the god damn pinned mod comment on every post on r/chessbegginers, read the god damn wiki, read the god damn info button that pops up on chess.c0m, here’s a thought just google it your god damn self. What do you think you’re the first person in fucking history to experience this “weird pawn move?” You must be fucking stupid because it was only invented back in 1561. But I’m sure you thought “oh wow I know chess.c0m is a company valued in the hundreds of millions but I’m sure me, 100 ELO shit tier chess beginner, has found a bug in their program.” It boggles my god damn mind that you just blindly post your stupid fucking questions on reddit without trying to research them first. Because you must be the first person in fucking history to ever experience a problem, and logically reddit, the source of all fucking factual information, is the only god damn place you can look for an answer. So here’s a fucking thought the next time you’re about to make a god damn post stop and google e-n p-a-s-s-a-n-t.
Freedom of speach or something like that. Who knows, the supreme Court has shown me a few times that I have no understanding of what is constitutional.
A wild time to be a a citizen of the USA. No matter what the verdict is I expect large portions of the US to announce it was rigged somehow. And all because trump couldn’t just jerk it to porn like normal people.

Definitely the cultural differences in Japan make some things work there that won’t elsewhere. A push for more autonomous trains would help the world over but that doesn’t help with safety and maintenance. Public transit is expensive (not that a private car based system is any cheaper) and it’ll only work in places where they are willing to pay.
