TIL that #Statamic ships with the 'isCpRoute()' function, which allowed me to make my code a little more compact. The function will check if the current route is a control panel route or not. Here's the old and new code. Feels refreshing 😁
Just published a new release of one of my #Statamic addons. But first I rewrote the whole thing, then updated the README, noticed that half of my code is not necessary, rewrote the whole thing, then updated the README again. That's how I work.
That's by far the shortest @statamic addon I have ever coded, fitting on one single screenshot. It's a #Statamic wrapper of the #Laravel package "browser-detect" by "hisorange". You can use it to find out all sorts of stuff about the requesting browser and device or render content for specific devices only.
Disappointed that Statamic doesn’t come with 2FA out of the box, and slightly more disappointed one has to pay for it. I get that it’s by a third party dev and all, but in this day and age, it should really be included out of the box.
Been doing some stress testing of different CMS's today as a continuation of the CMS size comparison last week. Kirby solidly outperforming the rest here too 👀
Amazing how a simple blog requires a multitude of the disk space of my first (386) computer.
I had a 32MB HDD which contained the OS, all programs and all of my data and it wasn't even nearly half full when I started using it with dozens of programs installed.
I realised it has taken about 8 years to finally find a tech stack that I am settled on and happy with so that I am not looking around and wondering if there is something better.
Installed #Statamic with #Valet. I was a bit disappointed as I was getting loads of warning and nothing worked on the browser. Then realized that the folder name was used elsewhere, and that was the site giving all the warning. 30 minutes lost, but at least I won’t do that again… 🤣 Does valet have a checked for duplicated paths? First time Statamic user
Following @valorin sort of, going to finally migrate away from #CraftCMS to #Statamic. My site has gone roughly from Wordpress to #ExpressionEngine to CraftCMS over the last 20 years or whatever. Since 90% of my work is Laravel, Statamic seems like a natural fit. Luckily I don’t have a lot of posts or custom stuff, but I am hoping to post more… please don’t hold your breath, I don’t want that on my conscience.
