YouTube has this new screensaver mode that dropped today for me where it shows a thumbnail of some theme like, “Acrylic Pouring Techniques” or “New York City Drone” and UI encouraging you to “press up to play”. It’s slightly annoying because it now overrides the art screensaver that I set up as my default Apple TV screensaver.
Pressing up plays a video associated with the listed theme. I wonder how much the video creators got paid for this? 🤔 #YouTube#weird#screensaver

I just had the idea that a #journalctl#screensaver could be an interesting thing. 🤔️ Like, maybe just highlighting errors and alerts from the last hour or so. I think I might be crazy enough to like something like that. 😅️
I just figured out how to generate lines on a compute shader. The program generates 100 lines with 1000 vertices in each line, then renders them as line strips.
This is the kind of thing I used to draw when GPUs didn't exist even in sci-fi XD
Next I'll try to render triangle strips and plain triangles.

Spero che prima o poi torneranno #mainstream come lo erano un tempo, e che le generazioni correnti e future possano ricominciare ad apprezzarli. Ho visto questo #video (sotto) su #RokuCity, che mostra come #Roku ha dimostrato che al #pubblico generico gli screensaver piacciono… quindi potremmo bene farli tornare. Per favore. Voglio. Ormai su molti ambienti utente o sistemi operativi non sono nemmeno più supportati in modo adeguato, e questa cosa fa schifo perché metterli significa avere un’ #esperienza peggiore di cosa si aveva 20 #anni fa… 🙏️

The #AppleTV has lots of very beautiful #ScreenSaver videos. There are a few repetitions of course, as with all screen savers, but there is also mostly variety.
There are some fly-overs over some mountains in Yosemite national park, a view on #Earth from outer #Space, lot of jellyfish, and many others. They are very entertaining, relaxing, and most videos are worth watching. 👍
