So, seit einiger Zeit läuft der #Raspberry Pi 4 mit #eBlocker. Der Schutz ist in der Standardeinstellung schon sehr gut (also ohne https Filter).
Mit fällt auf, dass das WLAN etwas flackert. D.h. Smartphone meldet sich ab und zu wieder beim WLAN an. Keine Ahnung, ob das mit eBlocker zu tun hat oder ein paralleler, zufälliger Effekt ist. Ich beobachte das mal.
Was really bad rainy weather yesterday, so spent the day in the kitchen canning up some stuff.
Made an experimental small batch of ginger raspberry jam as ginger raspberry is my fave kombucha flavor to make. This batch set perfectly but I need to use WAY more ginger, couldn't taste the ginger at all. Still a tasty raspberry jam though!
Gràcies al USB HUB de la imatge, he tingut una idea que ja funciona perfectament: connectar disc durs externs al HUB, cadascun amb un sistema operatiu diferent. Si vull engegar #Gentoo, acciono l'interruptor del disc dur amb Gentoo, si vull engegar #Ubuntu activo l'interruptor del HUB que alimenta al disc dur extern amb Ubuntu.
D'aquesta manera es poden tenir fins a 7 sistemes operatius diferents per a la #Raspberry.

Lesson learned: installing #NetBSD 10 RC2 fresh results in working wi-fi on a #Raspberry Pi 3; my upgrades lost that functionality somewhere on a different system.
Fingers crossed that a Pi4 will be as quick and stable.

I'm now switching to the next generation: the :raspberrypi: #raspberry pi 5.
It's amazing how this small companion has evolved over the last decade.
Armed with #debian 12 #arm64 I'm sure we will have fun for the next years.
RPi4 was great when it came out, but bloated websites made it a lame browsing machine.
So I hope the improved performance of #RPi5 can keep up with modern trends.

The HUB75 Interface was not easy to connect to the Raspi, but the LED Matrix Display works!
We did a journey to the past and used a Raspberry Pi 2 as a display controller. There’s definitely a huge performance difference to the recent Raspi models! Not surprising, still impressive when you’re used to the latest ones 😉
