#23From2023 - #AlexandraStréliski – Néo-Romance (Secret City). Playing against the conventional neo-classical tag, this Montreal pianist-composer channels the likes of Friedrich Chopin on an all-original set of modern romantic pieces. Dark and emotionally charged, the music highlights Stréliski’s fluid and often sparse piano lines, embellished with chamber strings for added atmosphere. Like #RyuichiSakamoto, Stréliski makes meditative music for a winter’s night.
Friedrich Gulda - Piano Piece C
from the Album '3 Piano Pieces' released on canto crudo - ccr202
Friedrich Gulda has played all three improvisations on a Bösendorfer Imperial at the Konzerthaus Vienna in March 1986, without any audience, only for the purpose of recording. They were intended to serve as a basic acoustic material for my work on LANDSCHAFT MIT PIANIST (landscape with piano player) – a piece for tape and piano improvisation.
Indeed, all sounds and sonorous processes in my part LANDSCHAFT are derived solely from these recordings. Then, for many years, they were slumbering in my archives.
On this CD they are released for the first time.
Coco 707 - Ravel, Pavane de la Belle au bois dormant 💛✨️ As this Ravel melody has been in my head for the whole week now, I guess this Coco just wanted itself to be made 🎵🎶 Have a beautiful Friday! https://youtu.be/4dEVO5rk5qU?si=gm5iCS5sXH_PZzxR
The first time I saw a piano when I was a child I fell in love so I took classes and I remember that my teacher always had to tell me to open my eyes, because I closed them to feel the music through my fingers but she told me that I needed to read the notes 🤭 I love the power of music in my life.
