I have been experimenting with allowing the creation of conversation groups (similar to what Gajim has) in #Moxxy. Nothing final, just trying things out 😄

A video showing the ability to group chats in separate groups, similar to what Element, Discord, and Gajim already allow.

Second blog post on the UI! Unfortunately I've had a very busy month and don't have much new to report. Hopefully I'll have more time in May to work on new screens.

First blog post about the work I've done so far on the UI! I'd like to do one every month if possible, like Thunderbird does with K-9 Mail. Please feel free to send me feedback!

Hi!
For the past few weeks, I worked on a new project: !
1999 aims to be an XMPP client that is:

  1. and
  2. cross-platform (mobile and desktop)
  3. modern looking, with a uniform look across platforms
  4. user-friendly
  5. secure

The goal is to have an xmpp client that has the same name, ui and features on every platform, which I believe is what xmpp lacks right now.

I am not a programmer so this is only a UI at the moment!

@ailyaut That looks very cool and I like the idea for the name and the logo! But yeah, actually making this is another story all together.

There are however two recent projects that have similar goals:
Moxxy https://moxxy.org/ (currently Android only, but it uses Flutter which is cross-platform), and Prose https://prose.org/ (not yet released, but should come later this year). #xmpp #jabber #moxxy #prose

"i have to use #whatsapp for work" is not a good excuse to not have #signal or #xmpp on the side

edendestroyer,

@amunizp Ive been using cheogram and while its not flashy and can be weird sometimes it just works. It has gotten a bit weird lately given that it replaced its great feature (quotes) with a half-backed reply system when we couldve had both together, but its still a great client!

I would like for #moxxy to get better with time as new users might relate more with that client.

What's the status of in ?

I've found this 0 but it shows as experimental so I was wondering whether discussions were happening somewhere or if one can add a +1 about it somewhere.

I know it will sound stupid or just not a priority to some people but unfortunately, stickers are a requirement for many of my friends when it comes to .

@silmathoron Not so well. ( https://moxxy.org/ ) is AFAIK the only client that has implemented XEP-0449. has their own old system that I think only somewhat understands otherwise, and recently added a sticker-picker but it just shares http_upload images.
