I have never been into Beat 'em ups but have some of the classics like Streets of Rage 2 in my collection. 🥊
Are there any titles you suggest trying out although I am not the biggest fan of the genre? 🤔
For some time now I was thinking about presenting #RetroTrivia not only via pictures but short video clips that don't exceed the Mastodon server's file size limit. 🗄️
Finally I arranged to capture, edit and publish my first video directly here on Mastodon. 📼
When you've got 40 seconds and want to know what going too fast in Sonic can lead to, give the video a try and me some feedback. 👌
Back on that there http://twitch.tv/djh0ffman tonight from 8PM BST/UK for more work on Metal Gear for the #megadrive#genesis. Another super productive week, graphic bug list is now small (but complicated!) and we've got some noisy stuff to present at last 🔊
I installed an Analogue Mega SG (an FPGA-based aftermarket Sega Genesis/Mega Drive) at work. Mainly to show the younger colleagues what they missed in the 90s. 😁
Now I am looking for nice games playable at lunch break. Meaning: Not to complicated, fast startup, maybe games for two.

Always fun to plug a SEGA Mega Drive into your 65" OLED, large screen retro gaming with a stunning RGB OSSC upscaled connection to HDMI...
And yet... With all this OLED splendour, plugging via SCART into a 24" CRT, not only is it more faithful to gaming of the era, but you also no longer suffer vertical jailbars or stutter when scrolling.
Best of both worlds, however actually prefer the CRT overall!
It's the LAST #BeyondTheScanlines for the year - and it's back to a big cross-platform comparison featuring the game which show what happens when you take a sci-fi wargame, and combine it with some Spacewar-esque action.
Another CRT TV added to the collection, the 21" screen was absolutely filthy but below a beautiful picture perfect for some 50/60Hz RGB Scart retro gaming.
There is a slight tilt sadly from left to right, but maybe one day I can do something about that (thoughts??).
Enjoying a bit of Quackshot on the SEGA Megadrive.
...James Bond in Licence to Kill, but his likeness is used in the game, most notably the opening screens, thus making it Dalton's last appearance as Bond to date. 🍸
It was also the final Bond game to be released by Domark, who had released a series of Bond themed games beginning in 1985 with A View to a Kill. 🕵️
