I am really #sick have inflamed vocal cords. I can't speak and because of my sinuses, one of my ears feel 'blocked', so even music is out of the the question.
But when I get back to stereo, could you recommend me some #joyous#jazz from 1960's and up?
I really love Mastodon, my Heads place, you warm my heart.
I play bass and electronic instruments, do some experimental video work, and live on O‘ahu, Hawai‘i.
Some things I've done that I love going on and on about: spent time in Bulgaria studying the concept of authenticity in relation to folk music, co-founded Community of Sound in Burlington Vermont, been an internationally ranked biathlon competitor (we won't say what that rank was though hahah).
My music often involves free improvisation, collaborations, and sometimes contemporary art music compositions.
My site is hand coded, has an RSS feed, and loads really fast.
Profile links to my website, my newsletter (subscribe if you like reading about sound, community, and culture), and direct artist support (which makes a tremendous difference in continuing to make creative work), and 10 links for latest projects/news etc.

"The monthly series of improvisation research at Temescal Arts Center continues. Bring your instrument or come to listen. No advance notice needed — just show up. Small groups will be randomly assembled from submitted names immediately before each group plays. We try to keep transition time between groups at a minimum. Over by 10pm. Donations for the venue rental are encouraged."
Here's a brief clip of my performance at Exit Points this past Friday. I had a blast playing my modular synth with 4 other musicians in a completely improvised set.
No notes or discussion beforehand, no deciding a key or form, just free improvisation.
Exhilarating. The full recording will be mixed and released on Bandcamp in a few months. Look for Exit Points on BC for previous releases!
If you're ever in Toronto on the last Friday if the month be sure to check out this fascinating concert series. Each month features a unique stellar lineup of musicians.
Been ages since I organised something musical, and also ages since I made a poster for such a musical thing, pleased to have done both today! Si ets a Barna el día 7 de novembre i t'interessa, apunta't! #barcelona#freejazz#freeimprovisation#improvisation
