The former Daily Record Building, Renfield Lane in Glasgow.
Designed by Charles Rennie MacKintosh in an Art Nouveau style and built in the first years of the 1900s, I especially like the use of glazed bricks to reflect light into this otherwise dark and narrow lane.
MacKintosh's Queen's Cross Church in Glasgow as viewed from Springbank Street. I love the way it continuously steps up towards the main frontage on Garscube Road.
Ruchill Parish Church Halls on Shakespeare Street in Glasgow. Designed by Charles Rennie MacKintosh and built in 1899. Considered by some to be a minor work by MacKintosh, to me this is a real gem and shows he could work just as well on a small scale as a grand one.
The courtyard and turret staircase of Ruchill Parish Church Halls and Janitor's House. Just from these lines alone, you'd bet these were designed by Charles Rennie MacKintosh, and you'd be right. It may not be as famous as the Queens Cross Church just up the road, but this is still a real gem of a MacKintosh building and well worth checking out if you're into all things CRM.
