It just never ceases to amaze me how bad drivers have gotten in the past few years. We have one car, which I drive as if I'm a grandma riding my bike - aka the speed limit & head on a swivel - because other drivers have gotten so terrible. Does #carbrain cause dementia? Is it all the California drivers? Did everyone just decide that rules don't apply to them anymore? Is it the fentanyl? What is going on? #carssuck
I'm not trying to vilify all #drivers here, just the ones with illegal license plate covers or missing front plate or who roll past the stop sign and half into the bike lane before looking, or those who are driving 5-10mph over the already egregious posted speed, or the ones who park in bike lanes and on sidewalks and honk too much and impatiently ride my tail while there's a fresh red light in front of me or those assholes who drive in the curb lane of an ODOT stroad when the left lane is open.
@enobacon An old friend would always say #CarsSuck when I would complain about drivers. Because while drivers make those decisions that threaten or inconvenience cyclists, cars put them in the state of mind to do that. I’m sorry so many drivers do so many frustrating things. I’m with you - we need to move away from car culture and get them out of the box that turns them into jerks
