My #Tor setup consists on a single #obfs4 Relay Bridge and two #Snowflake proxy servers. All running minimized installs of #Ubuntu. They are all running on #Wyse terminals to boot!
@dpflug@ajroach42@beto As the original author of #OfflineIMAP, it's always fun to see it mentioned. I'm no longer an active developer on the project, but I still use it for all my mail.
Speaking of which, my other suggestions are #Emacs and #mu4e. #screen also; it's one of the few things that works well with the XON/XOFF that some real vt220 and such require. I do own a #Wyse WY55, #DEC vt220, vt420, and vt510 and periodically work from them. Amazing focus mode.
Well my Dell #Wyse terminal from 2011 has died. May it RIP. It's last mission before it died was to act as a #Snowflake Proxy server for the @torproject
@feoh I've grown tired of using virtual machines for #hosting
The issue is that you have to be super-careful with the host machine. If you mess something there, you can bring down the entire hosted infra.
I've been building my own network using #Dell#Wyse and #Lenovo#ThinkCentre#ThinClient s.
They come in variety of configuration, from weak AMD or Celerons to beefy Core i8, do not take much place and power. Passive cooling makes them silent. After-market after-lease machines are very cheap.
