As the Ukrainian foothold in #Zaporizhzhia expands, Russian troops caught inside of it are beginning to express panic at being encircled by encroaching Ukrainian forces.
Ukraine has expanded its control of the areas west of #Verbove, and armoured vehicles are operating beyond the first #Surovikin line. At the same time, the villages of #Andriivka and #Klishchiivka were liberated south of #Bakhmut.
Russian sources report that Ukrainian forces entered Verbove on September 22 & continued attacking the settlement with armored vehicles as of September 24.
Russian sources also indicate that Ukrainian forces are operating north of #Verbove.
This week has seen progress for Ukrainian forces along the southern #Zaporizhzhia front, as they break through Russian defenses near the town of Verbove.
#Verbove lies east of #Robotyne, which was liberated by Ukraine last week.
A Ukrainian military officer said that coming cold weather in the fall will not affect the way they fight, which right now is primarily without vehicles.
