It's Funding Sunday! Today we've got a funding request from the Belfast Trans Resource Centre who would like help funding for their unique trans community venue into 2024.
The Forum on Education Abroad are currently conducting a survey to gather feedback on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training provided to on-site housing staff, faculty, and advisors. This survey focuses exclusively on the experiences of trans and nonbinary students.

I think one of the easiest things trans fems and allies can do for mascs is to bring attention to where we aren't being represented.
If you're putting together a list of creators or professionals or what have you, or are otherwise trying to highlight the efforts of "trans people" in a given area, but all you can find are fems and fem nonbinary folks, say so. Call yourself out for not having any trans mascs in your rolodex.
You might have seen that there's updated guidance on the Public Sector Equality Duty. It's good for you to be aware that ultimately it changes nothing, though it may lead some public bodies to act unlawfully.
This is a tough read, but if you're able to we'd encourage you to read it so that you can understand what life is like for our trans, Ugandan siblings living in Kenya.

Despite making up less than 1% of the UK's population, 3% of hate crimes in the UK are transphobically motivated. Reports of transphobic hate crime have increased 14-fold in the last decade, and we know that there's a lot that goes unreported. It's time to #StopHate and to stop the transphobic rhetoric from the UK's media and politicians, which is known to have played a major contributing factor in the increases seen in recent years.
