This weekend I'm taking part in not 1 but 2 big fantasy ebook sales! So, both of my frothy Regency fantasy rom-coms (with dragons!) are available for just 99c/99p from today through Monday. 🐉❤️
Coffee and Crushes at the Cat Café is 99 cents everywhere. It has 4.4 stars on Amazon with over 400 ratings and 4.2 stars on GoodReads with over 290 ratings.
Kari doesn’t have time for love when she’s opening her new cat café. She’s busy hiring employees, fighting with the health inspector – oh, and welcoming 16 shelter cats. But when a sexy master baker walks in, she can’t let him get away.
Every once in a while I get asked for advice by people interested in audiobook work.
I'm now adding a postscript to my replies to say that if they would like to thank me, I invite them to give a kind review to any of my books, for which I am happy to supply a free review copy.
Good reviews help sales a great deal. Most of the books I've narrated are short. It's a small ask.
Because reviews help so much, I'm always happy to give anyone who has a sincere interest in reviewing my audiobooks a free review copy.
If you are reading this and that's you, pick out a title from this list, and let me know if you need a US or UK Audible code. It's that easy! https://adaraastin.ck.page/223e08bb72
*And please don't tank my reviews. If you hate a book, no review is better than a bad one.
I just saw a disclaimer in front of a #Romance book where the author actually felt that they had to justify why they actively did not include any homophobia in the book and that instantly made me very sad because you know this actually happened in the past where readers wrote to a writer and actually got super furious at them for creating a utopia in a book. Sometimes, I read things like this and I really don’t know what criticism to take seriously and what I should ignore. You, as a reader, might not like hearing this, but did you ever stop to think that maybe the reason why an author created a world with no homophobia in it because they just want to give some joy and a story without traumatizing some of their readers? Maybe they just wanna give Their readers and escape from the real world for a little while? I sincerely don’t believe for one minute that it’s erasing homophobia in the real world. I just can’t imagine anybody sincerely getting outraged over that, just blows my mind. @bookstodon

Quote: I looked at the cigarette in my hand, thought, “What the hell?” and took a puff; “Ugh, unflavored.” But I’d finally gotten a kiss from my konbini girl, a secondary kiss, but a kiss.

Sometimes it's small things...
“Thank you;" Shiomi said. "it has been a long time since anyone bought me a meal and I had a pleasant time.” She was smiling, looking happier than I had seen her for a long time. The look transcended cute. She was stunning.
“You welcome,” I said, a little flustered. It seemed such a small thing and raised a new question: Had my buying her ramen been that special?
