Portland's police chief has resigned. Mayor Ted Wheeler has appointed a temporary replacement, Bob Day. He spoke of his past, beginning as an "arrest is all" cop to one who is engaged with the community. He says he's "hopeful." The appointment is to allow the next mayor to choose a replacement for the outgoing chief, Chuck Lovell, who will remain on the force. #Portland#PDX#PPB
