Last year, #Republican Gov #KevinStitt signed an executive order defining an individual’s sex as the “biological sex” at birth. Laws took effect requiring students to use bathrooms that match their sex assigned at birth & restricting #gender-affirming care for trans youths.
By Fri, #Oklahoma Gov #KevinStitt (R) had gone on CNN & indicated that it would be okay to disregard #SCOTUS in certain circumstances.
“We all agree that the Constitution is the supreme #law of the land,” Stitt said. “And if the Supreme Court gets something wrong — for example, if they tried to ban & say that we didn’t have a Second Amendment right to bear arms — I think the #Constitution supersedes somebody in Washington, DC, telling us, you know.”
