#Ukraine has resumed its own production of artillery ammunition, but given the vast needs of its Defense Forces, and the scale and intensity of the war, the country still relies on ammunition supplies from partner countries, as stated by Oleksandr #Kamyshin, the Minister for Strategic Industries
Oleksandr #Kamyshin, #Ukraine’s Minister of Strategic Industry, told Time magazine that the attacks were carried out using weapons secretly developed by Ukraine. According to him, Ukraine does not have time to test these newest weapons: they are tested in combat conditions, and the necessary changes are made according to the results.
"We have agreements with two leading American companies to jointly produce in Ukraine 155-caliber ammunition," Oleksandr #Kamyshin, Ukrainian minister for strategic industries
He said though that implementation of the deal would take years.
"To produce 155-caliber, the process takes a minimum of two years, a maximum of three. And to start this production, we need technologies that our partners own. Ukraine has never produced this caliber,"
Ukraine is already producing thousands of drones per month, but this will soon increase to tens of thousands per month, said Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr #Kamyshin
All of Ukraine's defense production capacities have greatly increased, Kamyshin added, including the production of shells, but it is still short of what is required.
