Do you like time-traveling romances? Do you like feel-good queer stories? How about bears? If any of these are a YES, you should pick up a copy of SAINTED LOVE. Following Mac, a genius inventor, and his gentleman companion John, a heavyweight boxer, this comic is an emotional, exciting, and heady romp through time.
When Mac is placed under arrest for the crime of being gay (in 1907), he escapes through his prototype Chronocorridor and ends up fifty years in the future. Seconds later, John follows through…and he finds that between the two of them, a year has passed. Mac has, in the meantime, created a secret oasis for the gay men of LA, and when John finds his way inside, the lovers happily reunite. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, though; a mysterious and malevolent organization soon rears its ugly head. The couple, unfazed but determined, set off on a wild adventure through the eras, fighting to protect themselves and others from the Pilgrims.
Sainted Love combines action and adventure with sexy, sweet romance. It hits the right notes and even has a bit of genre-hopping, though it manages to stay on-track and self-serious enough to keep a reader engaged. Definitely worth a read, but do be aware it’s probably better suited for home reading. 😜 5/5 ⭐️
BLITMAP is a bold new comic series by SUP, drawn by Matias Basla and written by Jack Timmer. This series has garnered a bit of interest due to its unique covers- quite literally! Each individual cover is non-fungible, though it is actually ethically done. (Two collaborating artists drew sets of interchangeable details, which are then ‘fitted’ together thru random number generation.) Because the world of BLITMAP takes place in a society where the digital and physical worlds mesh (almost) seamlessly, collectors can also register their unique covers online. Finally, and the detail that most impressed me, is that the world of BLITMAP is open-source! That’s right, the creators have given license to use their IP as you see fit, even to make your own inspired merch or comics.
But, you may be asking, is any of this worth it? YES! BLITMAP is a fun, futuristic read where object heads (‘Blitmaps’) and so-called ‘Logos’ live in an uneasy peace, despite their digitally-enhanced utopia. When Cici, a young Blitmap, gets her first mission from the Elder, she’s determined to impress. But when her team gets caught up with a group of Logos in a bizarre reality glitch, she finds out that the world is a lot bigger than she really ever imagined…
This series has a lot of potential, and given the open-source nature of it, I’m really excited to see what comes out of the world of BLITMAP! 4.5/5 ⭐️

The final article of the Gamers Decide batch. For those of you who suggested some #fantasy#webcomics, I tried to fit as many onto the list as possible but was limited to 10 choices.
Working on another #webcomic article, this time focused on #fantasy comics.
Please drop some links to your favorite fantasy webcomics. I have a couple more of these articles to do, and they should be going up next month. Your suggestions last time were helpful!
