Me was wrong. #GodotXR is in a pretty good place right now and it’s just hard because their website doesn’t have the same info that the comments in the actually Godot XR Tools scrips do.
#GodotEngine / #Godot is great, but I dislike how I have to rely on Godot XR tools to do basic things such as picking up objects - it would be great if this functionality was built into nodes without having to install other packages.
