As the game progresses, various systems cause a slow game to get even slower, even at emulated fast forward speeds. The story was overall okay, but I don't feel like any of the gameplay additions improved on FFT. I did enjoy the Ivalice races, though.
This week is Faris from Final Fantasy V! She's always been my favourite party member from this group just for the localised pirate speak! This is one of the few costumes that I made myself entirely from scratch, and is based on a combination of her Freelancer sprite and her design in World of Final Fantasy.
It was tough to decide how soft to make my face considering she's masquerading as a man for the first few hours of the game, but she's mentioned to be gorgeous, so I went with my regular makeup, but just tried to look a little more badass in photos. Unfortunately I'm not great at posing really. That's going to be an important note soon 👀
Even after having completed Final Fantasy V, I still don't really know where I stand on this game.
I wouldn't say that I didn't enjoy my time. But I felt it was lacking in many departments. The pacing is all over the place, characters are super flat (especially the main protagonist), the villain is paperthin. The twists are fun enough and the job system is at least interesting, but undercuts actual characterprogression, so combat never felt quite right.
I'm in the final stretch of Final Fantasy V and loosing my patience with the game. Even though I am using boost mode, this part is super hard. Battles and dungeons tend to be super annoying and I really don't know if I want to keep going. #gaming#jrpg#FinalFantasy#FinalFantasyV
