Just wrapped up another livestream on #Twitch. Tonight was a granular fiesta, with Instruo Arbhar, Mutable Beads, and After Later Monsoon all playing major roles, as well as the Joranologue Orbit 3.
Built a nice automated jam on the #Eurorack and accompaniment in Ableton, but didn't record it. Hopefully it still sounds the same when I come back to it tomorrow! 🤞
So I managed to get the Eowave 7U case working after all, and the guys at Cicada Sound were cool with selling it to me at a discount. So now I have two 7U 104HP cases. 😁😁😁
Here's a pic of the current setup at Casa Nazgul.
Now I just have to get a bunch of blanks to fill those gaps (or more modules 💰 -> 🔥). 🤪
Ok. Finally ran out of space in my #eurorack cases. Do I buy a 4U pallet for my desk or go with a #SomaLabs Ether v2 and/or RoAT? The two Soma products seem fun and interesting which will give me something new to use immediately, whereas getting more space will just give me the ability to possibly move stuff around and get GAS for more modules. Any thoughts?
And this is why I'll never buy an assembled DIY kit off of Reverb ever again. If a module's gonna blow, it's going to be because of my shitty soldering and not someone else's!! 😁
And a dear friend and supporter already bought my first copy on Bandcamp!
I wanted to put a single out but didn't want to deal with the hassle, so I found it easiest to make my Bandcamp release into a pre-order, with 2 tracks available to listen early! Check it out!
(And give me a follow while you're there so you can get all the latest)
First impressions of my new modules after a couple days of random knob twisting and not much manual reading (I like to familiarize myself with a module as much as I can before diving into the manual - I get a lot more out of the manuals this way).
Joranologue Orbit 3 - Love at first patch. A wild chaos generator that functions at both CV and audio levels. Many patch points for modulation. This module fits my workflow and aesthetics like a glove.
Day 113 of #PCBs - A front panel for a #Eurorack touch screen controller.
A display module fits in the center, with buttons on the left and bottom.
On the right, I'm going to try a different approach for illuminating the knobs. Instead of discrete LED lights like I've done in the past, I'm going to see what a ring looks like.
Here's the #YouTube link to a recording of last night's #Twitch livestream. As usual, this has been rendered directly from the MKV file produced by OBS.
Our #EarthModularSociety prompt this month is arps and I did this stream with two arpeggiators and some wiggly delay and space noises. It's kinda fun and weird.
