As part of my prep for my upcoming Dungeon Crawl Classics campaign, I’ve been compiling and indexing pre-DCC RPG setting info from the 3.5 and 4e modules.
With DCC RPG, Goodman Games doesn’t really limit themselves to previous edition setting material (there’s no real “canon”), and the current setting is simultaneously weirder and less trad fantasy than before, but there are many shared place and deity names. The old setting has some cool stuff, like ancient naga and sphinx empires.
Please respond by saying what sorts of TTRPG things you're pretty likely to either talk about or respond to if you see them.
This can be a list of games (D&D! Tribe 8! Fate!) or categories (the weirdest of indie stuff! NSR! Anything PBtA!), topics (Worldbuilding! Publishing!), stuff you're making, meta-commentary (The State Of The Industry), and so on.
Then maybe share, and if the replies are building up, check them for new people.
@LeviKornelsen I’m not sure even I can predict what I’d likely talk about, but I’m currently playing in campaigns of #DCCRPG, #OSE, and #DnD5e, and play #CoC and various #Gumshoe games fairly frequently, too.
That said, I’ll try most anything—I’ve been playing since the 1980s, and enjoyed ~110 systems since taking up online #TTRPG in mid-2020.

My review of Tales from the Magician's Skull issue 10 for Grimdark Magazine! Don't miss out on arguably the slickest old school Sword & Sorcery magazine around.
In addition to the short fiction, there's some fun bonus content for DCC RPG / OSR fans.
Have I played a hexcrawl? Yes—though not frequently. I play #TTRPG online and in discrete 3- or 4-hour blocks, and though crawling is a big thing in #OSR, it doesn’t lend itself well to those constraints. I’ve helped playtest a couple for #DCCRPG recently, but that’s all. I ran hexcrawls back in the late 80s/early 90s, though; even back then, it was sufficiently retro that many gamers found the experience novel. #gtkm
