I just mounted my second #monitor at #work upside down, and earned a lot of weird looks by my colleagues.

The reason is simple: I just found out (after years of use) that my larger main monitor has a #BGR pixel layout, while my smaller second monitor is #RGB. There is a bug in #Windows10 #ClearType that prevents differing settings to be applied correctly. So the only solution was to turn the other monitor 180°, making it effectively BGR as well.

It makes a huge difference to me. Check yours!

I used #BetterClearTypeTuner, a really neat tool to apply the settings: https://github.com/bp2008/BetterClearTypeTuner

But you can also do it within #Windows itself by running "Adjust ClearType text"

Keep in mind though, that while it lets adjust all your monitors separately, the settings of your primary monitor will be applied to all of them. Thanks #Microsoft. But I don't know if that's fixed in #Windows11 #ClearType, so let me know!

I just did the #ClearType #Font tuning thing in #Windows where it asks you to "Choose the text that looks best to you" a few times. I think it looks much better now?

Ist that actually doing anything?
