Isn't Alt-f2 enough to launch application?
I used to use Synapse as launcher not sure if it is still available... 🤔

Sure, works as well. Rofi for me though is faster.

@jhx Yes, I love rofi I think it’s really cool. It has a variety of run modes, icon support if you want to have a pretty launcher, extensible themes. Rofi is super configurable. I always prefer rofi over dmenu.

@jhx @puppygirlhornypost Xfce's own WhiskerMenu (which is a panel app) is also very good, and that is what I use. I have tried Rofi, but for all of the features that I use in a launcher, it did not really provide anything new that was not already present in WhiskerMenu.

Sure, WhiskerMenu can be leveraged for that. Did use it for launching before.
I just personally prefer Rofi - but that is subjective.
