From today's local newspaper via Bay Area Newsgroup...
"The brand-new vehicles (buses), which could arrive as soon as the end of 2024, have water as their only tailpipe emissions....
There's just one problem: Most of the #hydrogen that is currently available is produced from #fossilfuels, and that causes more of the #greenhousegas emissions that hydrogen buses are supposed to reduce."
@heretical_i Diesel bus=100kg CO2/100km. Nat gas bus=90kg CO2/100km. FC bus = 70kg CO2/100 km using Steam Methane Reformed H2. That FC bus can blend zero carbon electrolytic H2 in any ratio to bring down that 70kg linearly to zero.
@respectmyplanet@heretical_i He is blatantly using arguments from oil & gas companies. It is pretty much an admission of climate change denial. Ignore such people and be clear that they are climate change deniers.
