American mathematician and aerospace engineer Mary Jackson died #OTD in 2005.
In 1951 she started working at the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA), where she was a member of its West Area Computing unit and Jackson’s supervisor was Dorothy Vaughan. Despite early promotions, she was denied management-level positions, and in 1979 she left engineering and took a demotion to become manager of the women’s program at NASA.

The question about missing books about Jackson and her part in NASA ( NACA ) is evident for this contribution here: There are almost none. The answer " Any kind of book" ( Gutenberg) is a bit misleading. Where are books about Margaret Hamilton? How many kind of books exist about Hedy Lamarrs Invention (WW2) that don't deal with her 6 husbands or her hollywood films ? Where are books about the women that built ENIAC computer?

Are there any books e.g about Margeret Hamilton ( not by her) existing outside your domain ? I guess not or not much . This way it makes no difference when you remind on something outside your world that doesnot - or barely - exist.
While by no means perfect and often putting entertainment above accuracy, the film Hidden Figures still does a good job at portraying Jackson and her team and is worth watching.
