So, had the weirdest Amazon problem this month. I emergency ordered a travel laptop charger for my trip to France because it was the only way to get one in time. It got delivered on time, but apparently the driver forgot to scan it, because it was in the Amazon system as "delivery failure".
For the last month (while I've been travelling) I've been getting email updates from Amazon regarding my "lost" package ...
@linux_mclinuxface@fuzzychef I've had this happen before with Amazon and it used to be fairly easy to get a real life person on Amazon support to clear stuff like this up, but now it's all chatbot AI driven and there's just zero way to navigate stuff like this anymore unless it fits into their tight pre-defined scenarios.
@vwbusguy@linux_mclinuxface I'm sure it saves them money overall; I expect an hour of a CSA's time is more than the cost of a $65 charger. I just worry that the $65 came out of the deliveryperson's paycheck.
@fuzzychef@vwbusguy@linux_mclinuxface Since the delivery person is a dozen companies away from whatever sold you the charger, that's unlikely to happen. Most likely the delivery person doesn't even work for Amazon.
