I kind of miss when Bond movies were completely ridiculous. There would be some woman named Iva Wetpussy, and she'd not wear bottoms the whole movie with no explanation. But we need to make this more inclusive, so there also needs to be a man named Colin Allbutts that wears chaps the whole time, and an Ace named Ima Notinterested, who actually gets all the work done.

@RickiTarr Ima is an intriguing character possibility. They presents as attractive, gender mysterious, and witty, but just can’t be bothered with that other layer of “nonsense”. An ace icon.
@RickiTarr I think the appetite for those movies is over all saturated. Leslie Nealson and Mike Meyers have made their parodies which don't really differ much from the early originals. And there is the original casino royal...

The Roger Moore ones were the last ones I liked. They were live action cartoons essentially, and good fun.
The far too serious and "edgy" Daniel Craig ones had similar ridiculous action sequences, but without the levity, just came off as stupid and unrealistic.
I have the same issue with Batman. The idea of a billionaire bouncing around solving crime is stupid in reality. Add in some camp and humour, and it's just a fun time.
Tim Burton's 1989 Batman was good fun. The last few took themselves far too seriously.
@Sir_Osis_of_Liver@RickiTarr I think Craig had the best take on the character, but apart from Casino Royale, all his films had to have been written by apprentice bbc drama writers without any respect for the craft yet
