@lin11c I ask that, too. I think many of us – and many of our "guardrail" institutions – are just choosing to throw up our hands in response, because the corruption and grift are so bold and seem increasingly normalized by our corporate media and also by our judiciary.

The judiciary are horrible corrupt. Judge Cannon Fodder and many others placed in their positions by the Federalist Society to fix decisions the way the billionaires want them.
@lin11c Yes, that has been a big revelation of the Trump era, seems to me, and really, the era prior to this, as we've seen the Supreme Court become a wrecking engine destroying democracy at the behest of the Republican party and the super-rich.
