@glitchontwitch If Ai Long Nhai is 2022, then its characters exist in a world where BL is on telly. Even if they're not avid fans, they've probably seen the requisite falls so it is entirely reasonable for one to decide to make theirs happen himself.

It was weird though, like, how do you trip while sitting down? Like even if he sort of lost balance it’s weird to fall that far? Like, did he jump?
Then I realized, after I have no idea how many times seeing it, that actually, it looks more like Ai (also sitting next to him) grabbed his hand and flopped backwards pulling Nhai with him, so that Nhai landed on him.
@emmaaum I feel a little silly that I thought Nhai was just clumsy enough to trip while sitting before considering that Ai might be being a jackass.
To be fair, Nhai is very much a flake. That’s kind of his thing. He’ll drop things he just picked up bc he’s careless. He can get lost anywhere. And he’s always losing a plastic duck his father got him to teach him responsibility.
He’s also an aeronautical engineer major in college.
