I know many admins have been combating it all night to keep it out of your timeline. Might not be a bad idea to set the filter up while #MastoAdmin's combat the problems. paul, 3 months ago That tag is up to 4700 spam messages just since I posted this 25 minutes ago. I edited the hashtag in the admin section, and I found other tags being used. Thanks to @trendless for reminding me I can do more than just not let tags trend.

paul, 3 months ago 3/ It appears the spammers have caught on that it is suggested to mute and filter the hashtags they were using and posting spam without a tag now. It is still a could idea to filter the known tags, like the ones in this thread.

kinyutaka, 3 months ago @paul the problem is getting that filter set up. I'm partially responding to this so I can get back to it on my PC, where I can set the filter up. There's no easy way to do it with @megalodon Hint, hint, Meg. We need filtering options on the app.

paul, 3 months ago @kinyutaka @megalodon In a pinch, try to setup a filter up using the native mobile PWA. Just log in at your instance. It should give you the mobile view.

paul, 3 months ago @trendless Yeah. There are a few. Like 荒らし共栄圏 with 111, or around 1.1K spam posts. I'm adding what pops up in my feed, working on the big offenders first. I'll add the one you mentioned now to my filter. thanks
