Some people look at the issue through a lens that sees any potential threat to Jews in Israel as being morally equivalent to the Holocaust. Which mean anything short of a Holocaust is morally acceptable if it's being done to reduce such threats.
This is a pretty twisted way to think about what the IDF are doing to the people of Gaza, but...

Well I wouldn't want to say it is, because that would invite accusations of "antisemitism"'. Despite the fact that Jewish peace activists who actually survived the Holocaust have made that exact comparison on many occasions.

Truth is the first casualty of war, and we've been in a perpetual state of war propaganda since WW2. The end of the Cold War was followed closely by the War On Terror, which has segued neatly into a New Cold War, primarily focused on pitting the US Axis against China and Russia.

Which makes us throwing vast piles of cash at Israel even stranger?
