I am seriously begging @element to implement proper "mark as read" functionality in matrix. Seriously, I should not have to go thread by thread every single day for threads I don't care about and mark them each as individually read by opening and scrolling and closing each thread.

The right-click channel -> “mark as read" does not work.

@thisismissem right-click mark as read should work. if not, can you give repro steps in github.com/element-hq/element-web/issues please?

@element it doesn't, never seem to have. I don't have time or energy to shepherd a GitHub issue.

@thisismissem https://github.com/matrix-org/matrix-js-sdk/pull/4022 may have fixed this - are you able to try on develop.element.io to see?

@element sweet, that worked, on the previous desktop version, I had to restart to get the changed state for those threads though.

@thisismissem cool. latest Nightly should have this too and will be in next release. sorry for the nightmare of stuck notifications; it should almost be over now.
