I have some downtime, and I thought I would give some #US#News, #Texas News, and #Amarillo News. Each of these will be unlisted CW'd replies to this post.
In the US, I heard that the smoke from Canada is expected to reach down to the Carolinas. I would suggest everyone in the eastern seaboard to head west into Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky, and other more interior states.
As I just mentioned Amarillo has been battered by flooding caused by recent thunderstorms starting last week. Some of these storms were severe enough to warrant some tornado watches and warnings. The flooding has caused a lot of damage: Areas in lower elevation had to be evacuated due to flooding, and a huge swath of Amarillo lost power.
