Als Elon himself reports on a certain site: "A pressurant valve appears to be frozen, so unless it starts operating soon, no launch today" ... so today's #SuperHeavy activities turned - https://twitter.com/johnkrausphotos/status/1647951847242571780 - into a Wet Dress Rehearsal, with the countdown running down to almost zero.
Some key scenes (from independent cameras) of the #Starship launch edited together: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THkSvpyoJ20 - the stack reached an apogee of 39 km but the staging failed and it had to be blown up when it has fallen back to 29 km altitude. A lot was learned, and in a few months we should see the next test.
@cosmos4u maybe, just maybe, people saying that it was weird they didn't do the full-duration, full-thrust fire test like the SLS did were right after all?
Maybe people saying that them using data from a smaller 2019 starship for this launch' permits, and the regulator blindly rubber-stamping it, was something inexcusable, were right after all?
Maybe a lot of what has happened was easily preventable with basic due diligence?
