⅔ of the Interior Secretaries have been Republican. I hafta wonder how much that has contributed to this mess. It didn't happen overnight. Also, are Haaland's hands tied? Seems like she'd be pretty sympathetic to these issues. She's smart, has a good heart, I'd like to know what goes on behind the scenes. And how about Peltola, she has certainly turned out to be pro mining/road. I don't get it.

From an AP story last year on Thacker Pass:

What about the Green New Deal demographic. They stop using their lithium battery ohones & devices? They stop prormoting battery run EV cars to replace gas engines?
Can't have it both wsys. Its one or the other until a better battety source is develiped & put to use.
I would like an snswer from the GND/Save the Planet, No more Oil demographic, to this dilemma we face.

The cause promoted & brought to light is spot on & just.
The issue is that lithium mined to make the batteries that run devices & cars for a cleaner greener planet runs smack into the dirty mining business, same as the dirty oil business.
What's the solution so we stop repeating the same mistakes.
Once again. The choice is between "not perfect in every way" and "total F***ING disaster", and people insist on threatening to withhold their vote from "not perfect in every way".
