Now that the crisis is over, your local admin of your local Mastodon, Misskey, Sharkey, Pixelfed, and other platforms on the Fediverse are now stuck with the extra bandwidth and data cost
@Linux_Is_Best Thankfully, the impact is rather limited since bandwidth is unlimited and thankfully the spammers didn't fill up the 250 GB of object storage, before we get charged.
Of course, others may not be lucky, especially if they use AWS
