Day 14 of my recumbent ebike build: prototype for the display housing finished printing. I removed the supports, and went about trying to assemble it. Immediately noticed that the display is too wide to fit! D’oh! I continued to test the part and make notes on it, including mounting it to the bike. Where it looks pretty great.

I’ll definitely be making another prototype part before I make the final part.

View from the seat of my ebike with the display mounted on the front.
The display housing, with notes written on it: Widen (interior of the housing) by 1-2 mm) Extend mount tabs by 10 mm More notes are upside down, and noted in the 4th image.
More notes written the display housing. There’s also a large rectangle drawn, with an X to indicate that it should be removed for an access panel. Enlarge front mounting holes by 0.5 mm. Enlargen (wire exit) oval. Investigate variable layer height.
