@GinaRCollia@bookstodon we have a lovely retired academic who we order a lot of Egyptian history books for. He once ordered a huge facsimile edition of The Book of the Dead. Sadly he had never seen the movies, so he was bemused when we tried that line on him as he picked up the book!
@TheEdinburghBookshop@bookstodon Then he goes home, closes his study door... A gust of stale air moves about the room, a candle flickers, a scarab beetle scurries across the tiles... And in the distance, there is the feint sound of a sarcophagus creaking open and the rustling of ancient bandages. 😂
