This business model is the logical continuation from "Free To Play" scams in video games. You can "play" for "free" but all the cool stuff is paywalled / the free content sucks. So in reality you must pay to actually experience the game as intended. Repeatedly. It's a scam.

The only innovation was to apply the same logic to non-game software, too.

I have nothing against paying for software per se but this "trollolo you now have to pay extra for every tiny feature" bullshit MUST STOP. 🤬
