RUE DU RETRAIT, PARIS
by Mosko
In 1989 Gérard Laux began using the name Mosko to paint animals in Paris's "endangered district of Moskowa." The following year Mosko became an artist collective, but always with the same goal: "to beautify the living environment." After thriving for several years as a collective Mosko once again took his original signature in 2015 and has continued painting the walls of Paris with his interesting use of brush combined with "a monochrome finalization stencil." In 2017 Mosko created this work for one of the many challenging shapes available in the urban gallery of the Rue du Retrait in the Ménilmontant neighborhood, and the number of works he's now painted for Association Le Ratrait is a testament to his popularity.
