@euphoriagremlin nice article ☺️ I always struggled with the pairing, could never switch up what I was doing, so pretty much just picked another character who sort of worked with whatever I was going for.
@Hundstrasse Yeah I think the pairing is very much one of those things that is actually a lot more complex than you'd think at first - it's where the depth is hiding 😅
Nah, I thought about mentioning Tekken Bowl in the review but simply didn't have anything worthwhile to say about it
@euphoriagremlin Lovely review, now I'm itching to play Tekken Tag again! I agree about the lack of story, I'm pretty certain that the game was rushed to be a launch title for the PS2 on North America/Europe, maybe that explains it.
I just keep thinking about how players felt when they played this game for the first time and saw how superior it was from the arcade. It must had be a magical moment...
@guilhermedea Thank you so much for reading it! I dunno, I suspect it was probably just because it was decided to be a noncanon game early that they just never bothered with doing any story stuff for it - does make it a bit odd now though given Tag 2 has its own side-story thing going as well!
@euphoriagremlin I worked in an arcade when this released. It was far and a away my most played cabinet. Amazing graphical upgrade on PS2. If it had a true online feature I would still play it to this day. Maybe fightcade will get it one day 🤞
