anianimalsmoe, 6 months ago @bookstardust The funniest part, IMO, is that the characters have opposite hair lengths from their voice actresses.

anianimalsmoe, 6 months ago I don't recall any cases of singers crossing over as seiyuu before. Anyone remember any?

sachirin, 6 months ago @anianimalsmoe I think shows like Sazae-san, Chibi Maruko-chan, Detective Conan, Kochikame etc. have had guest performances from singers at some point. Just to name a few: Pokemon had Kobayashi Sachiko in an episode and a movie https://wiki.ポケモン.com/wiki/%E5%B0%8F%E6%9E%97%E5%B9%B8%E5%AD%90 Kuraki Mai guested in an episode of Detective Conan back in 2001. https://renote.net/articles/23654 I also think Aimyon is in the latest Ghibli movie.

anianimalsmoe, 6 months ago @sachirin That's more common than I thought. I guess the economics works like casting celebrities in voice roles in Hollywood movies and tv. :ablobfoxhyperthinking:
