@gimulnautti@raph Similarly the Israeli right wing (and right wing Jews in America) have driven a wedge between many Israelis and the predominantly liberal/progressive American Diaspora. That was a project that they started in the early 2000s, too.
There was a survey of Israelis a few months ago asking whether they cared about the repercussions of Israel’s conduct towards Palestinians on Diaspora Jews, and most of the respondents said no.
