I just watched #10xDesigners talk about building a design career with side projects, and I so agree with that. In the car, I was thinking I could create my own todo list app because those out there are too complicated or designed for companies' teams.

However, need to brainstorm. I'm sure I've got an even better idea somewhere 😄

I worked at home with the toddler around this past two days. No nursery. Grandparents and Dad sick with the flu (I fortunately had my sister helping me today). But BOY this is hard to work when my son is constantly seeking my attention 😅 I'm lucky enough to have an understanding manager, but still.

I recently realised I spent a great year, minus the lay off in February.

• My husband and I bought a house;
• I could spend half the year as a stay-at-home mum with my baby boy and see him grow and change so much;
• I released my second nonfiction book in July, called SEO for Authors;
• I enrolled and finished a UX/UI web design bootcamp, and am now doing an internship.

I'm Estelle, a Belgian UX/UI web designer who also happen to write books (I've published two).

I love well-designed interfaces and typographies, I dabble in HTML and CSS, and I'm very interested in sustainability and accessibility for the web.
