I'm curious. Not that I don't find eclipses and other such phenomenon interesting, but I want to know why people who never give half a shit about the activity of the sun or moon suddenly have to travel hours or days for 3 minutes of shade. Personally the most amazing thing about eclipses is our ability to predict them, but the people I know who can't shut up hate math so that's not it.
