Has anyone else watched The Americans and couldn't help themselves asking when do they sleep or why they're never tired at "work" after spending the night chasing or being chased, who takes care of their children at night, and whether they ever go to the beach, where they kids could see all their scars from so many injuries during fights?
@mdione wasnโt really aware of this series before, but I now see that this is critically acclaimed so Iโm interested to watch it. ๐ (If I can find out where it can be streamed because itโs not on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video at least in my region.)

Did you know that there is a 1:1 scale replica of the world-famous #Shibuya Scramble intersection that can be rented by TV and film productions located 80 km northwest of Tokyo in the city of #Ashikaga? The real intersection is so busy that nobody can close it down for controlled filming.
This set was notably used in the hit Japanese TV series Alice in Borderland.
Iโve been watching a few travel vlog videos on YouTube and because of my #OpenStreetMap compulsive behavior, Iโve been using these videos as street-level imagery sources to update POIs on the map. ๐
@Nickname yup, I add the YouTube video URL in my changeset source tag. I view extraction of factual data/info from videos as something that is not subject to copyright or database rights. Itโs not different from reading a book and using a non-creative fact that youโve read in some other endeavor.
Saw a pickup truck driver nearly kill someone on an ebike in downtown Kitchener (on King, in front of the farmers market). Driver was yelling at the ebike rider about something, ebike let up on the throttle to get behind the truck, then passed on the left when the truck got stuck in traffic. Truck sped into him and onto the opposite sidewalk. Ebike rider seemed okayish, might have broken his leg.
I've submitted another application for @NGIZero grant for @everydoor. I'm at a point when working a regular job feels like a loss to myself, OSM and OSS world. Looking for funding to focus on my multiple geo-related projects, but that's near impossible. As Guillaume told me at the last SotM, hiring me for what I do is impossible to justify. Mostly because it's not a single super-useful project. Like xz. So... you know, I keep writing good stuff on 4 hours a week I got.
@zverik maybe you have some suggestions on how to improve https://openstreetmap.org/communities ? One idea being floated around is to embed the OSM Community Index map somehow in that page. (The list of local chapters is already dynamically based on the index.)

Just yesterday I got an idea (and documented the plan) for an OSM championship in mapping, based on a series of two-player duels. All from inside JOSM. I know how to build it and eager to start, but ED 5.0 and server migration first. Ten years ago I had much more free time.
@rom@luthien1126 If there is one positive thing I can say about this current admin, at least he has pivoted away from the previous presidentโs stance against China.
I enjoy #Kygo's music and all but artists should really stop this business of calling their tours "world tour" if it will only be visiting the United States, Canada, and Europe. #smh
