I bought Street Fighter VI the other day and was excited about it for an hour before I refunded it.
I was just over the minimum spec requirements, but it crashed every twenty minutes and the performance was just barely above 60 fps.
Why am I paying more money for a game that runs poorly and yet looks worse than Street Fighter III, a game that came out over twenty years ago and which can be made to run on everything from a Raspberry Pi to a Nintendo Switch?
Gotta get the hot new AAA game because it's got the sick graphics, gotta get the sick new GPU so it can power these hot AAA graphics
Global electricity consumption goes up every year with no end in sight. Wouldn't you be happier playing A Link to the Past with a computer that can run on five watts an hour?
It's so cool how something like an entire Game Boy game is now so trivially small that you can send it as a Discord file transfer with no issues. Final Fantasy VI weighs less than a hi-res PNG.
