Seeing Julia Evans and Randall Monroe closing out #strangeloop was a major highlight for me. I used to make comics for a living, and I love how both of them have used words and pictures to teach and connect with people in this space
Since starting my sabbatical back in April, I've not done a lot of tech stuff. Mostly been visiting friends at confs, climbing up mountains, sitting in hot water, and working out. (Also learning how deep learning works, but never you mind that.)
In the end I came to the conclusion that I miss having fun, at work and in life.
I'm making some life changes in pursuit of having more fun. Stay tuned.
Just sold my ballin' standing desk, G9 monitor, and mic boom all in the same day. Wow. Did I really just orchestrate a visa and international move all on my own? Such power!

I wouldn't use it as a money transportation device for evading taxes so much as a replacement for something like gold or real estate, something that holds value with nominal upkeep, only far more portable
